Its been almost a week already since I arrived in Lahore for my electives in Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre . The experience has been pretty good so far . Keeping aside the long and boring working hours , skmch is awesome ! I love this place . There is this little sense of pride and accomplishment every morning I enter skmch .And when I see senior doctors working here , the passion to become a successful doctor grows like anything . I’ve also met some nice people here from other colleges . Made some friends and a few acquaintances . Fun people to hangout with .
The Lahore experience has been really good like all other times I’ve been here . Always fun to spend time with cousins . Initially i did have a problem adjusting to the load shedding , but ive come to terms with it now .This time though my trip’s a little different in the sense that Im here to work and not just to meet family and cousins and also that its coinciding with Ramazan .
Ramzan in lahore pretty much the same as ramzan in khi except for the different iftar and sehri timings . One thing I must mention here is that ive noticed that most of the people here , at least the ones i”ve come across , aren’t too big on taraweehs the way we are in Karachi . Or maybe its just me .. You’ll also find large umber of people actually going out for sehris here , some of them with families .
